My choice this time was the creamy “Tiramisu” cake. The interior is very modest and simple. The tables are made of wood, and there are always flowers on them.
There are various theories about the origin of “Tiramisu”. Tiramisu is an extremely creamy and delicious cake that conquers. It is prepared by restaurants and pastry shops all over the world.
The first theory about the origin of Tiramisu is that it was invented in the 1960s or 1970s, but where and when exactly is not clear. This famous cake was first mentioned in the middle of the twentieth century.

Interesting facts there didn’t know it was invented in the 60’s or 70’s. I heard I think on Rick stein that it means “pick me up” or words to that effect.

Another origin story I’ve read mentions the dessert’s name translating to “pick me up” in Italian. Nevertheless, that dessert is always good with a cup of black coffee.

What is that on top? I’ve never had Tiramisu cake before. Not sure if any restaurants make it where I live. I wouldn’t dare try to make it myself! Lol

Hey I asked my Nonna about Tiramisu. She said yes they were in Italy when it took off in 1974. She said she thought it came from Treviso cause she tried it there. It was all the rage. My husband makes it. It is fabulous.

‘LOVE tiramisu! Best I ever had was in a small Italian restaurant, owned and operated by an Italian family. Sadly, they closed and we moved away about the same time, twenty-plus years ago. Haven’t found an equivalent since! P.S. Thank you for becoming a follower of my blog. I pray you find the posts meaningful whenever you’re able to visit!
