Its been 6 months since I’ve been recovering from a COVID-19. My body is gradually getting stronger and I’m slowly starting to get back to my daily sports life. One of them is cycling. That weekend, I went down to the basement. The dusty bike, for a long time, stood sadly in the corner of the basement. I wiped it off, checked the tires, chain and brakes on the bike. So the bike was arrangend he could see the light of day again and he shone in the sun again. I put on my favorite tracksuit, tied my hair and lightly put on makeup. I took it a bottle of my favorite cherry juice and a sandwich with pechenitsa, cheese and vegetables. My neighbor and her brown-haired dog Lucky joined me on a bike ride. While I was riding my bike wildly. I felt the freedom and restlessness of the wild wind, as it caressed my face. I felt life, restlessness and serenity at the same time. That feeling of unrest of mine, which at the same time was connected with happiness, satisfaction and sadness due to the loss of my father. But life goes on, I have to go further and deal with the obstacles that life imposes on us. Because happiness accompanies only the brave.

  1. As you well know dear lady, we will truly appreciate something when it is gone. You can now truly see the blessing your father was…and still is because of that. You had lost your wind in the face bike ride so now appreciate what it means to be back outside to do it again. I think all of this virus in our lives is going to do just that, give us all an appreciation of what IS truly here for us all…and let go what truly no longer matters. Love and light for that journey โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ ๐Ÿฆ‹

Thank you for sharing!!.. you did not lose you father, he occupies a special place in you heart and is with you always and the heart will go on.. โ€œLife isnโ€™t about waiting for the storm to pass, itโ€™s about learning to dance in the rainโ€. (Author Unknown)… hope you have many more bike rides and life is all that you wish for it to be… ๐Ÿ™‚

    Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky thatโ€™s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.

  4. Hello from the UK

You write very well. I have cycled seriously since age 17 when a friend and I used to cycle the nearly 20 miles between our homes to visit each other. We did our first 100 miles day outing that year in 1977.

I have never looked back. Whilst I cycle during the winter I always look forward to the spring and the open road once more.

    Kind regards
